Refund policy

RETURNS

Only damaged or faulty products will be accepted for return upon prior arrangement with DEA Performance staff. Products are required to be inspected prior to a refund/or product exchange being authorised.

Please Contact Us to discuss/assess the matter prior to returning any products.

In the event of the return of goods, all products and respective components must be returned to us within 30 days of delivery. They must be unused, undamaged, unaltered & within original packaging.

The buyer accepts responsibility for all return postage costs.  

A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply.

No returns will be accepted after 30 days of delivery date.

Please note that Special Order items carry the following strict conditions of sale:

• Special Order items are NOT eligible for change of mind returns. This does not include returns related to faulty goods and/or warranties.

• Special Order items need to be sourced and or manufactured.  In most cases there is typically a delay of up to 5 business days.  In some circumstances, often out of our control, this time frame may exceed 5 business days.  Should your order face a significant delay we will inform you.

• Once a Special Order has been made, we are unable to cancel the order.  Please consider this carefully before placing such an order.

WARRANTY

DEA Performance will repair or replace any product found to be defective in materials or workmanship within the specified warranty period, provided it meets the conditions outlined below.

General Warranty Terms

1. Warranty coverage applies only to defects in materials or workmanship.

2. Exclusions – Warranty is void if:

   • The part is damaged due to accident, misuse, improper installation or application, lack of maintenance, corrosion, or circumstances beyond DEA Performance’s control.

   • If parts are heat wrapped, as this can cause components to crack due to the pressure.

   • The failure is caused by back-fire (internal explosion) in mufflers or exhausts.

   • Add-on items (chrome extension pipes, hangers, brackets, clamps) are affected.

   • Aftermarket exhaust components (e.g., headers, cats, dump-pipes) trigger a check engine light—an ECU tune may be required at the buyer’s expense.
     

3. DEA Performance does not cover:

   • Freight or postage costs

   • Labor for removal, reinstallation, or replacement of components

4. Original invoice must be provided with any warranty claim to confirm date and place of purchase.

5. Warranty rights are in addition to any consumer protections provided under the Trade Practices Act or similar State/Territory laws.

6. No claims will be accepted after 7 days from delivery if the product has been installed or modified, as this constitutes acceptance of the goods.

7. DEA Performance’s maximum liability is limited to the cost of replacement of the faulty goods. The company is not liable for any indirect, special, or consequential losses or damages.

Proper Use & Compatibility

Warranty coverage applies only when components are used as intended and within their specified application.

• If individually sold components from a DEA Performance full kit are installed with third-party products or systems, despite clear product advisories stating they are designed only for use with DEA Performance systems, the warranty is void.

• DEA Performance does not guarantee compatibility with non-DEA parts.

• Failures or performance issues due to mixed-brand setups, improper fitment, or non-compliant use will not be covered under warranty.

Warranty Periods by Product

Towbar Lifetime Warranty – Conditions

• Must be installed by an authorised installer

• Must adhere to the vehicle manufacturer’s towing specifications

• Product must be unmodified, undamaged, and used solely for towing

• Proof of purchase required

• Towing capacity must not be exceeded

DPF WARRANTY – Exclusions

The 1-Year DPF Warranty only covers structural failures. The following will void warranty:

1. Blockage due to soot or ash accumulation

2. Use of non-conforming oil (not approved by the vehicle manufacturer)

3. Monolith breakup from vibration or impact

4. Contamination by oil, coolant, or exhaust paste

5. Use of bio diesel

6. Failure to use additive (for vehicles requiring regeneration additives)

7. Ignoring DPF warning lights

8. Failure to reset ECU upon DPF installation

9. Unresolved engine faults that caused original DPF failure

10. Failure to replace required components (e.g., pressure sensors, mountings, gaskets)

11. Not performing mandatory forced regeneration before driving after install

All warranty claims are subject to evaluation by DEA Performance or an authorised dealer.
